CHRIS HEMSWORTH AS A NEW 'ALLAN QUATERMAIN' IN THE ADVENTURE ADAPTATION? HILARIOUS 'THE BOSS' COMEDY TRAILER WITH MELISSA MCCARTY AND KRISTEN BELL!

IS CHRIS HEMSWORTH
NEW ALLAN QUATERMAIN?
Well, this would certainly be a lovely casting choice, wouldn't it? Rumour has it that Hollywood's favourite blond hunkster Chris Hemsworth is wanted for the lead role in the reboot of ALLAN QUATERMAIN adventure movie based on the classic KING SOLOMON'S MINES novels from H. Rider Haggard!

Richard Chamberlain has previously played the title character in the 80's movies about the game hunter skilled with weapons who often traverses African continent searching for hidden treasures. A few years ago fellow Australian star Sam Worthington was supposed to play the character over at Dream Works. Next year, you're watching Hemsworth in THE HUNTSMAN and in GHOSTBUSTERS as the male secretary of Melissa McCarthy mentioned belov!

MELISSA MCCARTHY IS
'THE BOSS' IN THE FIRST TRAILER
Your trailer for today is the first one for Melissa McCarthy's new comedy THE BOSS also starring Kristen Bell. Out next April it follows Michelle Darnell, a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.

  1. Nice to see an adventure flick that doesn't have Chris Pratt attached. I can definitely see Chris Hemsworth in the AQ role.

    1. LOL yes, Pratt seems to be getting into all possible big projects lately. Hope this Quotermain won't be a racist, fascist pig like the original one was

  2. Chris Hemsworth is always good as a man of action! I vaguely remember Richard Chamberlain as AQ -- I think the movie was meant to be a kind of rival for the popularity of Indiana Jones.

    1. actually Indiana Jones was inspired exactly by Solomon's Mines. I remember that Sharon Stone started her career in those movies.

    3. No, I don't like her big mouth. (Don't even go there, Dez!)

  4. You can never go wrong casting a Hemsworth in any flick!

I lost a little love for Melissa McCarthy recently. I heard they are going to do a 6 episode run of Gilmore Girls to tie up loose ends. The entire cast is coming back except for Melissa. It's a damn shame when you forget where you came from. Guess she got too big for her britches.

    1. Ain't that the truth! Thank God for giving us Hunksworth brothers!

Didn't hear that about GILMORES. I think I've never seen the ending of the show. If they're doing it, she should do it too... otherwise she will turn out to be a biatch :) I do generally like her, but I think all of her roles are the same and wildly repetitive. I wonder if she is even capable of giving a dramatic performance or just for goofing around.

    2. Yeah, they are working out the details to air the 6 episodes on Netflix. I am so excited!

I agree, Melissa seems to do the same character over and over. I'd love to see her in something a little more serious. I think that's why I loved her in Gilmore Girls. They didn't make her out to be some crazed flake that she tends to play in all of her movies.

    3. I've just finished the second season of MIKE AND MOLLY ending with the wedding :) Three more seasons to go :) It's the last of the big sitcoms that I've never covered before and can now watch it episode a time whenever the time allows me.It is a very timeless and relaxing one, and they're really dressing her lovely in that sitcom.

  5. I'd like to see The Boss.I really enjoyed Allan Quartermain in the 80's. I've only read one Haggard novel, but would like to read the rest. It'll be interesting to see the reboot.

  6. Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell--two of my favorites! I get the feeling Melissa ad-libs a lot and they just leave it in. That was her husband in the tennis court scene, by the way.

  8. I have to admit, The Boss looks pretty funny. I wouldn't pay to see it, but if it comes to Netflix, I'll give it a whorl.
