GODS' POSTERS FROM "PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS"

I know most of you aren't into "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Lightning Thief" coming out next month, but I've just got these four great new posters, revealing the interesting part of the movie - the gods themselves :) If you click on these two pics, you will see the posters for Zeus played by Sean Bean, Medusa played by Uma Thurman, Poseidon played by amazing Kevin McKidd and Persephone played by Rosario Dawson.

  1. A lot of interesting actors star in this film. Too bad their screen time will be so miniscule.

  2. Yes, somehow you have a strange notion that these stars will be used in a wrong way.

  3. Not necessarily used in a wrong way, more like not used at all.
Think about it. If you deduct screen/story time reserved for Percy and other two teenage demigods, action time, special effect minutes... How much screen time is left for "older" Olimpian Gods?

  4. The HERA really doesn't fit in with the others.

  5. it's actually not Hera, somebody made a mistake, it's Medusa played by Uma Thurman, and some people say she looks like a drag queen dressed as Cyclops :)))

  7. I just read "The Lightning Thief" this week and really enjoyed it. I'm excited for the movie! Thanks for a look at the posters. :)
Oooh, and there's Sean Bean again. He'll make a good Zeus.

  8. I'm glad you like the posters, Nat ;) although there's no Richard in the movie.

  9. That's okay... I enjoy MANY other things besides Richard, believe it or not. *gasp!* (Don't tell anyone- it will be our secret. haha.)
It is fun to blog about Richard, however, and it's easier when you have a theme. (Like you and movies.) Perhaps when I get tired of analyzing every aspect about RA, I'll blog about something else. :)

Oh and PS: I'll admit, after I read "The Lightning Thief," I thought RA would make a good Poseidon... but the actor they chose looks like a nice fit. (I almost didn't recognize him since he always has red hair.)

  10. I agree about Poseidon, Kevin McKid is a great actor, I've been following him for many years now, and he had many great roles although he gained world wide popularity only after starring in ROME and now in GREY'S ANATOMY.
