BBC CASTS TOM WESTON JONES, JONAS ARMSTRONG, FRANCES O'CONNOR IN 'TROY: FALL OF A CITY' EPIC TV SERIES! DREAMWORKS BUYS CRESSIDA COWELL'S 'WIZARDS OF ONCE'

  'TROY: FALL OF A CITY'
 EPIC SERIES CAST ANNOUNCED
I've recently informed you that BBC and Netflix are making new epic series TROY: FALL OF A CITY and today the cast has been announced! 8 part epic tale of mortals and gods, will go back to the judgement of Paris, his scandalous love affair with Helen, and the ill-starred prophecy surrounding his birth. Centred around the Trojan royal family at the heart of the siege, and combining thrilling adventure with heart breaking intimacy, it will deal with existence and identity; of people battling to retain their sense of humanity and compassion amid the devastation and destruction of war.

TOM WESTON JONES AS HECTOR!
Louis Hunter (pic 1) and Bella Dayne (pic 2) will star as Paris and Helen, the two lovers whose passionate affair plunges Greece and Troy into war, threatening to bring both empires to their knees. David Threlfall plays Paris’ father, King Priam of Troy, Frances O’Connor is Hecuba, Queen of Troy, and Tom Weston Jones (pic 1) is their eldest son Hector. Joseph Mawle is Odysseus, Chloe Pirrie Andromache, Johnny Harris Agamemnon, Jonas Armstrong (pic 2) Menelaos, the King of Sparta whose marriage to Helen is destroyed when Paris arrives in his city. For some reason, BBC has decided that ancient Greeks were black casting David Gyasi as Achilles, and Alfred Enoch as the Trojan general Aeneas!

  'THE WIZARDS OF ONCE'
DREAMWORKS TO ADAPT
Speaking of myths and fantasy, 'Deadline' reports that DreamWorks has bought the movie rights for the author of How To Train Your Dragon Cressida Cowell's Fall 2017 new fantasy trilogy THE WIZARDS OF ONCE. The story centres on Xar, a 12 year old wizard prince without magic, and Wish, a 12 year old warrior princess with a magical object in a world where magic is reviled and illegal. When they collide in the wild wood on the trail of a deadly (and thought to be extinct) witch, it’s the start of a grand adventure that just might change the fabric of their world.

  1. I do hope Troy will be a good one. I haven't heard of Wizards of Once yet, but the cover is drawing me in. I'll await the first teasers and trailers then make my decision if it will be worth taking a peek at.

    1. I'm, judging from the first pics, afraid it will be cheap and crappy as their ATLANTIS was a few years ago, especially with this random casting.
